Fiji 2011

In January 2011, a group will be departing from Nairana Study Centre to undertake a development project in Vuake, Fiji. Vuake is a small village in the picturesque Yasawa islands found to the north-west of the Fiji mainland, Viti Levu. In January, 2010 a group from Nairana Study Centre travelled to Vuake for three weeks to build a library, refurbish several classrooms, and provide relief after a hurricane in December 2009. To find out more about the 2010 project  and to see photos and video, continue to the Fiji 2010 page of this website.

After the success of this project a group from Nairana will be returning in January, 2011, to complete a second project at the school.

If you are thinking about participating in the project or know someone who may want to, or simply would like to find out more about the Vuake project in January, 2011, an information night will be held at Nairana Study Centre on Saturday, August 14th at 7:30pm.
